IRCAD is committed to excellence, quality, and is fully compliant with good laboratory practices. On January 11, 2024, IRCAD obtained recognition of compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). This recognition enables medical device developers to assess the safety of their devices and their compliance with European standards at our institute. This makes IRCAD a partner of choice for major corporations, industrial companies, and start-ups in the medical device industry. This recognition of GLP compliance guarantees the quality, reproducibility, and integrity of data generated during preclinical experiments, for regulatory purposes.
Recognition of compliance at an international level prevents the need to conduct recurrent studies with the same objective, enabling applications to be filed simultaneously with different agencies specializing in medical devices, such as the FDA and the EMA. IRCAD is now able to support companies in their validation processes at logistical, technical, and administrative levels, by conducting non-clinical studies in line with international OECD standards.
