Minimally Invasive Esophagogastric Surgery

Full immersion in upper GI

This curriculum extensively goes through technical basics and key-elements of either traditional and minimally invasive esophagogastric surgery. This course is designed for fellows, residents, thoracic and general surgeons who already have experience in upper GI surgery and want to increase their proficiency in advanced and minimally invasive esophagogastric resections.

The purpose of this course is to support surgeons in comprehending the major procedure-specific challenges and developing a standardized surgical method to approach esophagogastric surgery.

A European panel of experts will be delivering frontal lectures and proctoring the attending participants during the live surgical training at the advanced IRCAD laboratory. Trainees will have the unique opportunity to increase their proficiency in both perioperative management and surgical approaches (i.e., traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques) of esophagogastric surgery.
