IRCAD international fellowships
The IRCAD research fellowship program is intended for surgeons, endoscopists, interventional radiologists, (bio)engineers, and computer scientists at the beginning of their professional career, willing to become leaders in their field. You will have the opportunity to focus on your academic achievements, and to actively participate in creative and innovative institutional projects for a period of 12 months eventually extendable to 24 months.

Surgical research fellowships
As an IRCAD research fellow, you will:
- Test the most advanced technological platforms, surgical devices, robotics, telerobotics, and image-guided surgery
- Interact with international experts and key opinion leaders in a multidisciplinary environment
- Conduct and promote your research projects and showcase them at international congresses
- Write scientific papers with IRCAD support
- Follow and contribute to the intensive and advanced training courses with key opinion leaders
- Be involved in IRCAD’s theoretical and hands-on educational programs
- Contribute to monthly publications on WebSurg
Engineering fellowships
As a fellow engineer, you will join IRCAD’s R&D team to develop your career path in various domains:
- virtual & augmented reality
- software development
- artificial intelligence
- telerobotics
- and much more…
You will also be given the opportunity to write scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Research Fellow in Interventional Gastroenterology
Duration: 1 year
Application requirements:
– Medical degree
– Specialization and accredited training in interventional gastroenterology and GI endoscopy
– Experience in medical research
– Fluency in written and spoken English
Fellowship under the supervision of Prof. Guido Costamagna, Prof. Marc Giovannini, and Prof. Cristiano Spada.
Assignments:
– Conducting research activities focusing on innovative/advanced interdisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
– Creation of educational e-learning modules on WebSurg

- 3. If your application meets IRCAD’s criteria and specifications, formal interviews will be scheduled.
