The Institute of Image-Guided Surgery of Strasbourg, the University of Strasbourg and IRCAD would like to congratulate Prof. Mariano Gimenez, who has been recognized as one of Argentina’s top five surgeons of the last decade, receiving the prestigious Konex Award 2023.
Having such an esteemed personality by our side in Strasbourg is truly an honor! Prof. Gimenez’s contributions go beyond his exceptional surgical skills. He serves as a member of the American College of Surgeons International Committee of Education and as Chairman of the International Laparoscopic Liver Society Innovation Committee. Furthermore, he is the President-elect of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
Prof. Gimenez’s expertise and leadership in the field of percutaneous surgery are widely recognized. Last December, he organized an extraordinary congress in Buenos Aires, bringing together over 1,000 experts from 14 Latin American countries.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
