It was an absolute pleasure for us to welcome Dr. Maky Zanganeh, CEO of Summit Therapeutics, who holds a very special place in our Institute’s history!
We first met her as a young dental student, and today, she has graced the cover of Forbes magazine as the first Iranian immigrant woman billionaire in the United States!
She was accompanied by her son, Shaun, who, despite his young age, is already a savvy investor.The purpose of her visit was to witness the evolution of the Institute she has known since its inception.
It was also to introduce Prof. Jacques Marescaux to Mr. Nader Sadrzadeh, CEO of the start-up DeepSight Technology, in which she recently invested. Together, they discussed potential collaborations and using IRCAD (certified as a GBP) to conduct the preclinical tests required for obtaining FDA and CE certifications.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
