Professor Jacques Marescaux was invited to India to visit Sri Aurobindo University Hospital and discuss the possibility of establishing a mirror institute in Indore.
During the trip, he had the opportunity to witness the remarkable development led by Dr. Vinod Bhandari. Starting from a dispensary with only a few beds in 1980, he has built an extraordinary hospital-university “Empire” with 3,000 beds. The Bhandari Group of Hospitals & Institutions covers various medical and surgical specialties and stands out for the significant number of patients it treats.
Additionally, Professor Jacques Marescaux was greatly impressed by the surgical skills of Dr. Mohit Bhandari, a true virtuoso in minimally invasive bariatric surgery.
These captivating discussions and meetings have opened the door to a partnership that is expected to materialize in the upcoming months.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
