On September 12, 2012, an advanced course and workshop for the management of endometriosis was held at the IRCAD in parallel with the 21st Congress of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy held in Paris.

During this congress day, 7 procedures were performed by Professor Wattiez’s team in 3 operating rooms of Strasbourg’s University Hospitals. The best international experts gathered on this occasion. All procedures were broadcasted live from the IRCAD for the European Congress in Paris.
A hundred surgeons of 26 different nationalities took part in the IRCAD course and 1200 participants could watch the High Definition surgical videos broadcasted from the IRCAD.
Endometriosis is a rare condition which affects about 10% of women. Few teams can establish its diagnosis and properly perform the surgical technique to treat and cure patients.
Once again, the IRCAD’s expertise was appraised by the surgical community in the field of minimally invasive surgical education.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
