Une nouvelle consécration américaine pour l’IRCAD : le Dr. Joël Leroy élu « PIONNIER EN CHIRURGIE MINI-INVASIVE »

Après le Trophée décerné par la SAGES au Pr. Jacques Marescaux pour « l’accomplissement de son œuvre chirurgicale » en 2010, le « Prix du Développement de Carrière » attribué par la SAGES au Dr. Silvana Perretta en 2012, c’est au tour du Dr. Joël LEROY, chirurgien au sein de l’IHU (Institut de Chirurgie mini-invasive guidée par l’image), et expert « pilier » de l’IRCAD, de recevoir aujourd’hui à Baltimore, à l’occasion du congrès annuel de la Société Américaine de Chirurgie Mini-invasive (SAGES), le Trophée de « PIONNIER EN CHIRURGIE MINI-INVASIVE », l’un des plus prestigieux prix américains.

Le Comité des Prix de la SAGES et le Conseil d’Administration de la SAGES ont choisi de consacrer la carrière du Dr. Joël Leroy, dont les travaux ont fait évoluer de manière significative la chirurgie mini-invasive dans le domaine de la prise en charge du cancer colorectal.
Créé en 1995, ce trophée est considéré comme l’un des plus prestigieux de la SAGES. Le Dr. Joël Leroy est le premier Français honoré par cette reconnaissance américaine qui couronne sa carrière.

Réputé pour ses travaux innovants dans le domaine de la chirurgie du côlon, le Dr. Joël Leroy a notamment réalisé une première mondiale en chirurgie colorectale sans cicatrice par les voies naturelles en juin 2012, dans le cadre de l’IHU Strasbourg.

COVID19: IRCAD sanitary measures & health pass

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.

The vaccine pass includes a proof of the following (one of the 3 items is sufficient):

  • The vaccination certificate, proving that persons have a complete vaccination (as of January 15, 2022, all persons aged 18 and over must receive a booster dose no more than 7 months after their last injection or Covid infection to receive a valid vaccination pass. As of February 15, 2022, the time limits for keeping the pass will be reduced, you will have to do your booster dose 4 months and no longer 7 months after your 2nd dose to have a complete vaccine schedule and maintain a valid vaccine pass)
  • The result of a positive RT-PCR or antigenic test attesting to the recovery of Covid, more than 11 days and less than 4 months
  • The certificate of contraindication to vaccination
