Dimanche 23 août, lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture du Congrès Mondial de Chirurgie qui réunissait plus de 8000 chirurgiens à Bangkok, le Prix de la Société Internationale de Chirurgie a été décerné au Pr. Jacques Marescaux par son Altesse royale la Princesse Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
En l’absence de Jacques Marescaux, c’est le Pr. James T. Yao, récipiendaire du prix René Leriche 2015, qui a formulé le discours de remerciements.
Le Prix de la Société Internationale de Chirurgie est remis tous les 2 ans à un chirurgien académique dont les travaux scientifiques ont apporté la plus grande contribution au monde chirurgical. Le seul chirurgien français bénéficiaire de ce prix a été le Pr. Hepp, il y a 32 ans, pour ses travaux mondialement reconnus en chirurgie hépatobiliaire.
Par ce prix, la communauté internationale reconnaît une fois de plus la qualité des travaux menés au sein de l’Institut strasbourgeois, de même que son dynamisme et son caractère innovant.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
